El Hadji Moustapha Diop

El Hadji Moustapha Diop is a PhD student in the department of French studies at the University of Western Ontario, focusing on francophone postcolonial studies. In 2010, he earned an MA in comparative literature at Brown University, writing a monograph about Franz Fanon. He majored in Germanic studies at the Univeristy of Liège in Belgium where he wrote about Salman Rushdie. Diop has completed several published translated works, including Boubacar Boris Diop's short stories and the English translation of Ousmane Sembène's biography, which was published in 2010 by Indiana University Press as Ousmane Sembène: The Making of a Militant Artist.
