Jennifer J. Smith

Jennifer J. Smith is an assistant professor of English at Concordia University Chicago where she teaches writing and American literature. She received her B.A. from Ball State University and her M.A. and Ph.D. from Indiana University, Bloomington. Her current book project, “A New Looseness”: The Generative Fictions of the Short-Story Cycle, examines the centrality of the short-story cycle to modern American literary production.  An article therefrom, “Locating the Short-Story Cycle,” is forthcoming in The Journal of the Short Story in English.
