Laura Joyce-Hubbard’s work appears in Poetry, The Iowa Review, The Sewanee Review, and elsewhere. Her nonfiction was selected as Notable in Best American Essays 2022 and 2023. Recent awards include winner of The Iowa Review’swriting award for veterans, the 2023 Porch Prize in Poetry, andanAWP Intro Journal Award in nonfiction (2023). She was among the first women to pilot C-130s in the Air Force. Laura is a fiction editor for TriQuarterly, an MFA candidate at Northwestern University, and currently the inaugural Highland Park Poet Laureate.
