Vintage has launched a new blog, CMYK, that offers insight into their book cover design process. Above is the WWI centenary edition of Sebastian Faulks’s All Quiet on the Western Front, whose design was inspired by the line, “The front is as sinister as a whirlpool.” Below the final cover are some previous jackets, which illustrates the progression from start to finish.
